Catie Curtis’ upcoming Stretch Limousine on Fire has met great critical acclaim, including a front-page feature in No Depression, a four-star review in Glide Magazine and a fantastic Scripps Howard news story in the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Larry Stephenson signs to Compass Records

The Compass Records Group is pleased to announce that Larry Stephenson, one of bluegrass music’s preeminent high lead vocalists and bandleaders, has signed to Compass Records.  Stephenson will begin work at Compass Sound Studio this fall on a new project with a targeted release date of early 2012.  He will be sharing the production duties with engineer/co-producer Ben Surratt.

Compass Records receives 14 nominations for 2011 International Bluegrass Music Awards!

With seven nominations at last night’s IBMA Awards Nomination Ceremony, The Gibson Brothers were the 3rd most-nominated group overall, including nominations for Album of the Year for Help My Brother and Song of the Year for the title track. Winning in 2007, 2008 and 2009, Dale Ann Bradley has again been nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year. She was also nominated with Louisa Branscomb for Song of the Year and Recorded Event of the Year for the title track from Louisa Branscomb’s project "I’ll Take Love." Seven time Bass Player of the Year Missy Raines, celebrates a nomination in a category she has led in the genre, as is label mate Mark Schatz. Also special congratulations to Special Consensus leader Greg Cahill for his IBMA Distinguished Achievement Award.
